EAT SENSIBLY AND REMAIN SLIM

It is the ultimate desire of every person to remain slim, healthy and energetic. Numerous attempts are made in this direction by people of all age groups. You may have noticed some people are perennially dieting and there is no visible fat loss in them. Then there must be something seriously wrong with their diet regimen. Majority of people go on a zero-fat diet under the misconception that fats are fattening, and end up looking disoriented, emaciated, and tired all the time. People do not realize that a few teaspoons of fat can work wonders on our system and our general well being.

Our body needs all categories of food and in right measures, like, carbohydrate, fat, protein, vitamins and minerals to be healthy and active. The results will show immediately if you are lacking in any of these. People presume that just because food is stored as fat in the body, one must avoid fat to become slim. When we reduce fat, we are compensating our craving to eat by eating high-carb diet which is again dangerous. High carb means high production of insulin, and higher insulin makes you hungry and you end up eating more! Body will also cling to any little fat that you eat for its functions. What an irony and a paradox situation. What oodles of carb can do for you, a few spoons of right fat can do. Your hunger pangs will go down with this and hormones too will function normally.

The role of fats in the body is very crucial. They insulate your body against diseases, lubricate the joints, strengthen the immunity system, regulate hemoglobin in the blood, and keep the brain and nerves working well. They keep your morale high because even if you have a small amount of fat, it gives you a sense of satisfaction and filled feeling. Remember to select unsaturated fats over saturated fats.

Change your outlook and alter your diet to remain slim and healthy.
